PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia (hereinafter referred to KEB Hana Bank or the Bank) was established under the name of PT Bank Pasar Pagi Madju based on Notarial Deed No.25 dated April 27, 1971 and approved by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia in the decree No. Y.A.5/189/25 dated May 25, 1974. Since changing the status and became a Commercial Bank under the name of PT Bank Bintang Manunggal on November 30, 1989 and through the License Change into the Name of PT Bank Hana on March 18, 2008, the Bank continued to transform and experience several amendments. Until December 13, 2007 Hana Financial Group (HFG), one of the largest and leading financial company in South Korea bought shares of the Bank and became the major shareholder.
As one of the largest financial organizations in South Korea, KEB Hana Bank is supported and in full synergy with Hana Financial Group. In 2014, the Bank was ranked 84th as Top Global Finance encompassing 24 overseas network by The Banker Magazine. Today, the Bank remains focused on SME and Consumer segment, aiming to become one of top 20 banks in Indonesia by 2020.
